Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Quiet Ocean Standards Initiative! We are so thankful to have you as a member of our community.
The IEC Plenary Conference in Berlin is already underway - and we would like to invite you to join us on the IEC Academy platform for our Plenary presentation tomorrow, November 27th, 2025 at 08:00 - 14:00 UTC.
The session will explore the effects of acoustic underwater ocean-wide internet and monitoring networks that will run 24/7, regarding the effects on marine mammals and other taxa. Experts will also explore possible ways to mitigate potential harm. It is open to anyone who is interested in the topic.
We recognize that this falls in the middle of the night on Thanksgiving for those of us in America. If you can't make it live, there will be a recording available to watch after the presentation!
